StudifyLabs started because we were tired of reading "top 10 AI tools" articles written by people who had never actually used them. We use these tools ourselves, every day, and we tell you exactly what we find.

Who started this?

StudifyLabs was started by Dr. Suryakant Prasad — a researcher at UPES, Dehradun, working in Cryptography and Cloud Security. Not as a side hustle. Not as a quick way to run ads. As something genuinely worth building for students who need better information about AI tools.

My academic work is in Cryptography, Attribute-Based Encryption, Identity-Based Encryption, and Searchable Encryption — with 56 citations across published papers in collaboration with researchers from NIT Warangal, IIIT Hyderabad, and the University of Wollongong. I started StudifyLabs because I got tired of AI tool lists written by people who had never actually used the tools. Every article here comes from real usage — tested on Indian internet, with a ₹0 budget, and without a VPN. Everything on this site is written from real testing — someone who has opened the tool, used it for actual work, hit its limits, and formed an honest view. When we say "tested", we mean it.

Why we built this

Here is the problem we kept seeing: a student in Nagpur or Patna or a small town in Rajasthan types "best free AI tool for students" into Google. What comes back is mostly content written by big Western sites for Western students with fast internet, credit cards, and subscriptions that cost ₹2,000 a month.

That is not useful. A student on Jio data with a ₹0 budget needs different recommendations than a software developer in San Francisco.

StudifyLabs exists to fix that gap. Every tool we review gets checked against real Indian student conditions — works without VPN, has a free plan that is actually useful, explains things clearly even if English is not your first language.
